The basic technology of petrol engined cars is well understood. Gwynnes were made in the era when much of the standards we enjoy today were being established. Some techniques did not exist at the time. Similarly rubber engine mountings and helical gears in the gearbox were not used in the Gwynne, though helical gears are widely deployed in other parts of the car.

Gwynnes are cars that are appreciated now, or rather still because they are well engineered.
